Ganth is High Magic at it's core, and to try to explain how or why to anything fantastic in Ganth would end in great folly.

When someone asks, "How is that possible?" in a Ganth camapign, the first answer is always, "Magic."

ERIC!ERIC!https://www.blogger.com/profile/18251132223571608976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239577512598038009.post-40657720545649181392012-09-25T22:46:06.108-07:002012-09-25T22:46:06.108-07:00I agree, for the most part.

And that's really totally OK with me, I actually enjoy reading this posts as well. As long as they don't make this to a default assumption about "wrong" or "right" campaign building or something - and this goes both ways.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7239577512598038009.post-77219099474124508202012-09-25T15:49:48.415-07:002012-09-25T15:49:48.415-07:00I agree. Looking to the past to inform your game ...I agree. Looking to the past to inform your game is a good thing, because for the most part gamers have no concept of life in the dark or middle ages, and no concept of what it was like for the common person in any era (possibly extending even unto the current era).

This lack of knowledge can be seen in the "dungeon punk" of modern D&D-esque games, where everyone is healthy, wealthy, and middle class, and armor is just for kicks.
