Roger takes my mite swarms a mite further with the lilliviathan. Actually, it kind of reminds me of an MMII or Fiend Folio monster... I think it was called (looks it up) a CIFAL. Making the CIFAL into a humanoid made of tinier humanoids is much more interesting than a humanoid made of bugs. Further confirmation: the 1987 movie The Gate.
CIFAL's sin was not being a sci fi acronym, but being a bad sci fi acronym. Do the Gate's demons form up into a mini-Voltron?
ReplyDeleteThe Gate's demons, when struck or when they fall, break apart into smaller demons, the size apparently linked to the force of the blow. There's a BIG demon near the movie's end, but I don't recall if it broke apart at any moment... so there's only a vague suggestion that it, too, might be a conglomerate of smaller demons.
