The Weird & Wonderful Worlds blog has a Javascript-based Element Generator that is worth a look. I would probably tinker with the tables, for my own use, but it's a solid way of generating a random element or three for a distinctive fantasy world, or as the basis for a unique elementalist class.
I may have more to say on the concept later.

ReplyDeleteI didn't go into detail, because my feeling on these Blog Post of Note posts is that they should only direct people's attention to someone else's post, with minimal discussion. I can save discussion for separate posts.
DeleteBut the main thing I would tinker with on the tables is changing some of the entries for a more distinctive look or texture and add sounds and some other sensory sensory features to the qualities.
