A to Z

I'm thinking about joining the A to Z Blogging Challenge, as some RPG bloggers have already. The idea is to post something every day except Sundays*, with each day's post themed around a specific letter. I've already got a list of topics written up, so why not? I might change my mind, though, if some of the ideas don't work out.

* Presumably, you aren't physically attacked if you post on Sundays; that rule is just there to make the number of days match the letters of the alphabet. So, Sunday posts won't be themed by letter, should I feel the need to post. Maybe I'll devote Sundays to weekly follow-ups.

I hope writing in advance and scheduling posts for the appropriate days isn't forbidden (doesn't seem to be.) Because I've already written and scheduled two of my April posts, and I plan on writing more. I also plan on keeping to my Map Monday schedule, making each of the four April geomorphs in accordance with the letter assigned to that day.

I can do that because I had to add another challenge for my own purposes: aside from the geomorphs, all the p0sts will be on a single theme. I had to do this because I pretty much post every day, anyways, so even with the alphabet requirement, it didn't feel like much of a challenge. The downside is, I don't think many of my readers care about my planned topic. I promise, though, that some of the posts will be useful in a standard D&D context; at the very least, the monsters will be usable.

  2. No, it's not against the rules to have the done ahead of time and even if someone said it was, screw that. It's your blog. Do it your own way. Anyway, have fun John. Hope you enjoy the A to Z.

  3. And glad you decided to join the Challenge! There's a lot of writers in the group, so I'm sure they've find plenty of inspiration in your posts. I'm one of the co-hosts, so if you have any questions, let me know. And I dig D&D, so I'll enjoy your posts!

  4. Thanks! I'm certainly getting a bit of a push from the challenge to complete some stuff that needs to be done for a future project... I've done about five posts now and have one geomorph to draw for the first week.
