The latest issue of Fight On! (#14) is out and available. This issue, which will probably be the penultimate one, is dedicated to Rob Kuntz and includes both an article by him and a article about playing with him “back in the day”, written by Michael Mornard (aka Old Geezer.)
I don’t have an article in this issue, although I did contribute some layout help for the Chainmain scenario written by Baz Blatt.

I should really read Fight On! at some point; I've heard great things about it. You said #14's the penultimate issue. Why's it ending?
ReplyDeleteI have no inside information, but the people behind Fight On! seem to be burnt out and also overwhelmed by real life. It took ... a year? Two years? ... for #14 to get finished, so they probably feel like they have only one more issue in them, maybe two at most. #15 is going to be dedicated to J. Eric Holmes. It's doubtful there will be a #16, from the looks of it.
ReplyDeleteAh, that's pretty understandable. Shame it's ending, though a definite end means I'm much more likely to read it. I'm also reminded of The Strategic Review, which certainly doesn't hinder my interest
DeleteBeing among the contributors, I must say that neither our enthusiasm nor punctuality waned as issue production climbed into the double digits.
ReplyDeleteWasn't talking about contributors. I was thinking specifically Calithena, who had to juggle doing layout and working towards a university degree. The announcement he made a while back suggested he didn't have the time or energy anymore.
